Christmas Eve and Day were pretty low key this year. We stayed home and just enjoyed the time together as a family of 4.
Even though our Christmas Eve was pretty mellow, we were able to spend some time focusing on the true meaning of Christmas, in remembering our Savior. There is something so special about that night--no matter how old I get, where I am, or what we are doing, I can't help but feel that special peaceful spirit. The lights are turned down, the candles are lit, and with soft Christmas music playing in the background...it feels wonderful.
After the kids were tucked into their beds, "Santa" came, and set everything up for the morning! :)

not long after breakfast, we went outside to let the kids try out a couple of their new toys. Jake got a razor scooter and Mia got a "babyboo" doll buggy (supposed to be like a mini Bugaboo). Both toys have been very loved since then!
Later in the evening, we took a walk down to Kierland Commons--All the shops were closed for Christmas, so the streets and sidewalks were mostly empty and quiet. It was nice to just be out there enjoying the lights and ambient music.
We had a small and magical Christmas this year--our last one as a family of 4!!!

I'm glad you posted all these beautiful, magical pictures of your quiet, but most memorable Christmas together. Those are sometimes the best!
